Fall 2025

The hub has opportunities for multiple levels of learners. Classes are grouped based on age. We have Tuesday Academics and Thursday elective classes available. Students may sign up for one or both days. Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 915 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ada Christian Reformed Church.

All students will participate in a morning assembly which consists of a short Bible lesson, and song. Students will then attend their various classes throughout the morning. This is a DROP-OFF Program. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Each semester is 12 weeks long with the opportunity for additional field trips and activities.

Academic Tuesdays

Academic Tuesdays are for children in 2nd- 9th grade. Students will be learning about various aspects of our world through fun supplemental classes. Please be aware that students may have some homework from classes.

History

Students will learn about what history is, how we have history and why we study history.

Science

Students will be learning all about the earth. Students will focus on different aspects of earth science depending on their age.

Language Arts

Students will learn about nonfiction writing. Younger students will learn about nonfiction writing and begin learning to research and write. Older students will work on different types of nonfiction writing and complete a research paper.

Elective Thursdays

Let’s Get Moving

Students will get up and moving through various age-appropriate indoor exercises and games.

Book Club

Students will read an age-appropriate book(s) and participate in discussions/crafts about the book. Once the book is read students will watch the movie in class.

Art

Students will learn various aspects of art.

Coding

Our young students will learn the very beginning of coding with interactive games and activities. Our older students will learn the beginning of coding through Scratch.

Woodworking

Students in Grades 4th through 9th can sign up for woodworking, in which students learn various wood crafts. Past crafts have included a chess board, Chinese checkers board, catapult, camping chair, and more. Students will be using power sanders, drills, and more.

Boomwhackers

Students will learn the basics of rhythm and the beginnings of music. You can see boom whackers in action here.

Handicrafts

Students will participate in different hands-on crafts such as paper weaving, finger knitting, and more.

Christian Heroes

Students will learn abyout various Christian Heroes throughout history. Many of these heroes will be Christian missionaries such as Gladys Aylward and William Tyndale.
